1. Fingerprint Enrollment & Unlocking

Register fingerprints: Often, the first one or two serve as administrators. You press and hold the sensor to begin setup—then touch your finger in multiple angles until a confirmation LED lights up.

Unlocking: Place your finger on the sensor; recognition typically completes within 0.2 to 0.5 seconds.

2. Battery & Charging

Features a USB-rechargeable battery (micro-USB or USB-C), typically ~100–180 mAh.

One full charge enables 2,000 to 9,000 unlocks, depending on the model.

Supports low-battery indicators and stays locked even when the power is drained—simply plug in to recharge.

3. Durability & Weather Resistance

Designed with zinc alloy housing and stainless steel components, offering strong resistance to tampering, rust, and impact.

Many models carry IP65 or IP66/IP67 ratings for water and dust protection—good for both indoor and outdoor use.

4. Capacity & Access Management

Can store up to 10 fingerprints, with some advanced variants handling up to 50 or providing administrator-specific access rights.

Charge the device fully via USB before first use.

Register administrator fingerprints:

Press and hold the sensor (usually ~3–5 seconds) until a blue LED activates.

Place a finger in different positions until a green LED confirms registration. Repeat for a second admin if supported.

Add more fingerprints as needed following similar steps once authenticated.

Unlock: Simply place a registered finger on the sensor—it should unlock instantly.

Recharge when notified by low battery alerts; many work briefly even while charging.

Disable or Reset: Some units allow restoring factory settings by holding down the registered finger(s) for extended time (e.g., 20 seconds).

Traditional locks can be a hassle  keys get lost, stolen, or duplicated, and remembering complex passwords or codes is frustrating. Carrying keys everywhere is inconvenient and risky.
